The Department of Social Policy and Intervention is delighted to announce the award of a bursary of £9,000 for a period of three years, payable at £1,000 per term for a student starting to study for a DPhil in the Department of Social Policy and Intervention in October 2012.
The bursary will be awarded to a DPhil student on the basis of both academic track record and potential, and is open to students who meet all the criteria below:

2. paying the overseas students' fee; and
3. studying for a DPhil in the Department of Social Policy and Intervention and supervised wholly by department staff.
The award will be paid at the start of each term, and the second and subsequent payments will be dependent upon the quality of the successful applicant’s work and contribution to the department during the preceding term. In this context ‘contribution’ will include such activities as actively participating in seminars run by the department.
