The Department of Social Policy and Social Work (SPSW) at the University of Oxford, is an international, interdisciplinary centre for research and teaching in social policy and the systematic evaluation of social interventions. Staff in the Department include social policy specialists, those with social work backgrounds, sociologists, demographers, political scientists and psychologists.
The Department's teaching programme includes the graduate MSc and MPhil in Comparative Social Policy (CSP), and the MSc and MPhil in Evidence Based Social Intervention (EBSI) as well as doctoral research programmes in social policy and social intervention. We also contribute undergraduate teaching for the PPE and the Human Sciences degrees.
